Late 1960-early 1970 R.G. Hardie Silver and ivory R.G. Hardie bagpipes with the original mouthpiece in excellent condition. Ivory hemp stops. Each silver piece is hallmarked. Highly polished bores. A full but mellow tone that is perfect for solo or band competition. Hardie learned his bagpipe making skills from Robert Reid and later made bagpipes for RG Lawrie. Hardie opened his own business in 1950. Hardie bagpipes enjoyed great popularity and demand in the 1950’s, 1960’s and early 1970’s. Hardie chanters also won several World Championships during those years. Pristine condition. $4,000 USD
